RealSports Volleyball for the Atari 2600
RealSports Volleyball for the Atari 2600

RealSports Volleyball is an action game first released for the Atari 2600 by Atari, Inc. in 1982. It is a simple beach volleyball game using a side view following traditional volleyball rules. There are two players on each team, and the first team to reach 15 points wins the game (players must win by at least two points, so the score could possibly go higher). The game can be played by two players, or one player against the computer. Players control both teammates of the team which move in unison and have the ability to serve, set, spike, and block. Several game options are available. The first controls the speed allowing teammates to run either fast or slow. The second setting controls the difficulty; in the easier mode, the ball is always sent back over the net when hit while in the other variation players have the option to set the ball between teammates first.
