IBM PC version of Air Traffic Controller
Air Traffic Controller is a game which simulates some of the jobs an air traffic controller would need to perform. The object of the game is to safely guide about 20 airplanes through your sector. The sector is represented as a 13x13 grid which features two airports and six entrances and exits. Planes are shown on the screen as letters with arrows indicating their flight direction. Players need to issue commands to the planes to keep them on their course or change course, avoid collisions, clear for landing, or clear for takeoff. As planes arrive on screen they are added to a list which indicates stats about the plane including destination, remaining fuel, altitude, and current course. The game is played in real time so players need to be quick with issuing commands. As the game progresses more planes appear on the screen at once increasing the difficulty. The game ends when planes crash (either into each other, or if they run out of fuel).
