Commodore 64 version of Kablam!
Commodore 64 version of Kablam!

Kablam! is an action game for the Commodore 64 and Commodore VIC-20 that is similar to Activision's Kaboom!. In the game a prankster on top of a building is throwing firecrackers onto the street! The player's goal is to defuse them by catching them with a bucket of water. The buckets can be moved left or right along the bottom of the screen and will also wrap around from one side of the screen to the other. As the firecrackers fall, the buckets need to be positioned under them to prevent them from hitting the ground. If players miss any of the falling firecrackers, a life is lost. The game ends when players have no additional lives remaining (in the Commodore 64 version, the game begins with 4 lives and in the VIC-20 version only 3). Multiple skill levels are available which affects the speed of the game.
