Shrew is a Breakout style game released by Aim Software for the Commodore VIC-20. The object of the game is identical to Breakout; players control a paddle which can move along the bottom of the screen. Layers of bricks are located at the top and the goal is to deflect a bouncing ball into the bricks to destroy them. If players fail to keep the ball in the playfield, it is lost and the game ends when no reserve balls remain. Points are earned for each brick destroyed and an extra ball is awarded at 100 and 500 points.
